The Z9 is in full type due to firmware updates, the Z8 still smells new, and the Zf is mainly in its infancy. By comparison, the Z6/7 II twins are clearly in want of an update. If nothing else, no less than the AF efficiency would deserve a boost since it is at an analogous level as when the Z-mount was introduced. As photographic gear turns into more sophisticated, it’s solely a matter of time before one thing breaks.
